Hear the concern
You tell me what's slow, what's frustrating, what's taking too long or breaking too often. This can be vague — "our quoting is a mess" or "leads keep going cold" is enough to start. You don't need to know the solution. That comes later.

I look at the real flow of work — not the intended process, the actual one. What steps are involved? Who does what? Where does information get stuck? What depends on memory or manual effort? This is where assumptions get corrected.

Something works in theory until it meets real data, real users, and real edge cases. I check that what's been built holds up in normal day-to-day use before the engagement is considered finished.
